Primary PurposeThe Recruiter will be responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent for both DOT, driver, and non-DOT, non-driver roles to meet the growing needs of our organization. This role will collaborate closely with hiring managers and leadership teams to develop and implement effective recruitment strategies, ensuring a seamless and efficient hiring process while providing an exceptional candidate experience.
Essential Functions- Manage the full life cycle of the recruitment process, from initial sourcing and candidate contact to interviews and the offer process. Collaborate effectively with internal teams and hiring managers to support recruitment efforts for both DOT, driver, and non-DOT, non-driver positions.
- Serve as a strategic advisor, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, using talent market expertise to educate and influence them on how to identify and acquire the best talent across various roles, particularly in the DOT, driver, and non-driver space.
- Proactively source candidates for driver and DOT roles, as well as non-driver positions, utilizing a variety of channels such as networking, job boards, social media, and referrals.
- Continuously build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future openings.
- Partner with leadership teams to ensure recruitment strategies align with business objectives, promoting a consistent and effective talent acquisition process.
- Provide insights and recommendations on recruitment strategies, addressing industry-specific needs, compliance issues, and best practices, to create an outstanding hiring experience for both candidates and hiring teams.
- Monitor and report on key recruitment metrics, such as time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, quality of hire, and driver-specific compliance, to evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of recruitment
strategies. - Stay current with industry trends, DOT regulations, and best practices in talent acquisition to continuously refine the recruitment process and improve the candidate experience.
- Travel 25%-30% for hiring events, job fairs, networking activities, and other recruitment-related events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

QualificationsEDUCATION
Min/Preferred Education Level Description: 4 Years Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Years of Experience: 4 years r ecruiting for DOT driver roles
ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Proven experience as a recruiter in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, with a particular emphasis on DOT, driver, and non-driver recruitment.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, licensing requirements, and the skills necessary for success in driver and transportation-related roles.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines, particularly in high-volume recruiting environments for transportation positions.
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS), with iCIMS preferred.
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and an understanding of regulatory compliance in the transportation industry.
- Familiarity with current laws and legal requirements concerning recruitment and employment, including EEO, ADA, DOT regulations, and labor relations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates and hiring managers.

Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program.
