Athletics Driver Pool

An Athletics Driver performs the task of safely transporting students, faculty, staff and school representatives to and from school functions/events.

Responsibilities:

• Operate the assigned District Vehicles in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures, including BCC Driver Policy

• Perform pre-trip safety checks

• Maintain order within van while driving

• Work in conjunction with coach/teacher/supervising staff member to verify passenger attendance to and from each destination

• Ensure passengers are aware of rules and responsibilities

• Be on time to and from events, transporting on schedule

• Clean out vehicle and ensure it is safely and securely stored

• Advise coach/teacher/supervising staff member of any necessary maintenance or repairs

• Maintain vehicle logs as required

• Act quickly and exercise independent, mature judgment

• Perform other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma

• Possess a Class C Driver's License

• Possess a Clean Driving Record

• Preferred: Possess a Commercial Driver License, Class B with P endorsement

This position is a Short-Term Project working up to a max of 30 hours per week.
