Job Description

Family owned and operated company is looking for an experienced Truck Driver to join our OTR long haul team.

Requirements:
-Class A CDL
-Acceptable Driving Record
-Ability to communicate effectively(Phone, text, email)

Responsibilities:

-Transport finished goods to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers.

-Inspect vehicles daily for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance when required.

-Plan routes and meet delivery schedules in a timely manner.

-Document and log work/rest periods and ability to keep track of time spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.

-Input trip details into our automated system/Electronic Logbook (ELOG) for each stage of the loading and unloading process.

- Effectively communicate (cell, text, email) with dispatch and management at all times.

-Comply with DOT driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.

-Safely maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.

-Collect and verify delivery instructions.

-Report defects, accidents or violations.
