Will also pull flatbed, lowboy or other trailers. Primary work area is Kansas and the surrounding states. Work is normally Monday through Friday and home weekends. Possibility of some weekend work from time to time. Pay is based on experience. Insurance available with vacation and PTO after the first year. Key Responsibilities Expertly secure oversized loads using chains, straps, and binders, and perform detailed pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Review and follow specialized hauling permits (including travel restrictions) and coordinate with escort vehicles or law enforcement when necessary. Safely maneuver, load, and unload heavy equipment from trailers. Maintain accurate ELD logs, adhere to speed restrictions, and following all safety regulations. Perform routine maintenance on the truck and trailer, such as checking oil and tires, and report any mechanical issues. Requirements Must have a Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record and minimum 2 years experience in heavy haul, flatbed, oversize and overweight loads. Deep understanding of DOT regulations, safety protocols, and proper cargo securement methods. Ability to handle complex maneuvering, load planning, and sometimes, the ability to operate forklifts and equipment to load/unload trailers. Physically able to manage, secure, and load heavy cargo.
