Reports To: Transportation Supervisor

General Responsibility: To assure safe and orderly transportation of district students and staff.

Status: 9-month position; work days and hours will be determined by the Transportation Director and Superintendent.

Payment Rate: Classified Hourly Rate Schedule

Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in matters of student and staff personnel information, and in the general business of the office operations.
  • Must have current Wyoming Commercial driver license with an endorsement for Passenger and Air Brakes.
  • Must be able to pass an annual DOT examination.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to perform all duties as listed below.
  • Complete Criminal Justice Fingerprinting and Background Clearance

Duties Shall Include But Are Not Limited To:

  • Safely Drive assigned routes, trips, etc.
  • Maintain discipline in the buses in accordance with accepted district standards.
  • Maintain bus cleanliness at all times.
  • Subject to all other rules and regulations as specified by the Wyoming Pupil Transportation Manual.
  • Perform such duties as the supervisor may request to ensure efficient operation of school programs to students and staff members of FCSD #6.
  • Must be familiar with routes and locations for traveling to and from sporting events or any other special events.
  • Cooperates with staff, parents, and other district patron inquires with a positive and flexible attitude.
  • To support the district Mission, Vision, Operating Principals, Goals for improvement in student learning
  • Uphold district policies and procedures

Work Days: Work days and hours will be determined by the Transportation Supervisor.

Physical Requirements:

Occasionally requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull or push heavy objects or materials, stooping, bending and reaching, climbing stairs and use a small step ladder.
