Job Description
We are currently partnering with a leading civil construction firm that is seeking an experienced CDL A Heavy Equipment Driver to support its growing operations. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for a dependable professional who takes pride in their work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and understands the importance of keeping projects moving efficiently. Responsibilities:
Operate CDL A vehicles to transport heavy equipment, containers, and materials safely and efficiently
Travel throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine to support field operations
Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment in compliance with DOT and safety regulations
Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and ensure DOT compliance
Communicate with dispatch, project managers, and site supervisors to maintain efficient scheduling
Maintain a high standard of professionalism, safety, and reliability
Represent the company positively while on job sites and at facilities
Qualifications:
Valid CDL A license (required)
Ability and willingness to transport equipment across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine
Strong understanding of DOT and interstate transportation regulations
Clean driving record and strong safety awareness
2-5+ years of experience in equipment hauling, heavy hauling, or construction-related driving preferred
Comfortable working on active construction sites and in varying weather conditions
Self-sufficient, dependable, and able to manage time efficiently
Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
Pay Range: $35.00/hr.-$44.00/hr. per hour, based on experience, with significant overtime opportunities available. Includes a 2024 service vehicle.
