Wallace State Community College is seeking qualified part-time bus drivers to fill in as needed to drive college buses and vehicles. Applications are accepted on a continuous basis and filled as needed.

  • Drive college buses and vehicles as scheduled
  • Abide by Federal Motor Carrier safety regulation guidelines
  • Work with college group leader to conduct a safe positive trip
  • Display a positive image of the college
  • Protect the college investment in transportation resources
  • Ability to meet the public well and work with a variety of people groups
  • Able to work a flexible schedule that includes: nights, weekends, holidays, etc.
  • Preventive maintenance and cleaning college vehicles
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must have a valid driver's license with passenger endorsement
  • Must have a clean driving record, clean drug record and a DOT heath card
  • Truck and bus driving experience is required
  • Must have experience driving in large cities
  • Must have the ability to operate a bus up to 45 ft with a manual or automatic transmission
  • Mechanically inclined and able to make repairs
  • Ability to work flexible schedule and make multi-day trips
  • Professional appearance and comportment

SALARY:$190.00 per day

Letter(s) must include employment dates and job title and be on official letterhead with an authorized personnel signature.
  • Separate transcripts from each college attended (photocopies will suffice until employed)
