Position Purpose and Objectives

We are seeking an Over the Road, Class A CDL Driver who not only has a strong work ethic but also excels in customer service. Our CDL Drivers handle both local routes and OTR trips within the Southeastern states, with most weekends spent at home.
Roles and Responsibilities
Operate commercial motor vehicles safely and efficiently in various environments, including urban, suburban, rural areas, and confined spaces, under all weather conditions to transport freight.Ensure compliance with company policies as well as federal, state, and local regulations.Receive, understand, and verify dispatch instructions.Prioritize the safe operation of equipment and ensure the timely delivery of shipments.Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections.Maintain accurate truck logs in accordance with state and federal regulations.Primarily work early morning hours with occasional late evening shifts.Strictly adhere to DOT hours of service rules and regulations.Execute drop and hook trailer swaps at donation trailer sites.Complete drop and hook trailer swaps at retail store locations.Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
Valid Class A CDL.Experience operating similar type equipment minimum 3 years of experience.No major accidents in the last 3 years.No DUI/DWI in the last 3 years.Must be able to obtain and maintain a current DOT Physical.Must currently have or obtain double endorsementMust have or obtain double endorsement.Must be at least 23 years or older.Successful completion of background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screen.Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Physical Demands:
Occasionally - Carrying up to 50 lbs., pushing and pulling up to 25 lbs., lifting up to 50 lbs.Frequently - Twisting, turning, and bending to inspect the vehicle, secure cargo, or handle emergencies.Continuously - Sitting for extended periods while maintaining focus during long-haul driving.Continuously - Extended periods of sitting, possibly in a confined space, with limited movement. Ability to manage fatigue and maintain alertness over long shifts.

Mostly regular hours, occasionally working evenings, weekend and holiday hours as needed.
