CDL-Shuttle Driver

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious CDL Class A Truck Driver to join our team in a Hybrid Shuttle role. This role will haul touch and no-touch freight along consistent local and shuttle routes depending on daily business needs.

Local loads involve hauling touch and no-touch freight within a 250-mile radius from our County Line warehouse.

Shuttle loads involve hauling no-touch freight between our North Alabama warehouses, all within a 15-mile radius. During shuttle shifts, drivers are expected to complete 8-13 drop and hook loads per shift.

Physical Requirements

Sitting for extended periods of timeRepetitive motions (steering, clutch, etc.)Regularly lifting up to 100 pounds with the assistance of a dollyManeuvering units down ramps from elevated heightsClimbing (into/out of truck cab and trailer)Exposure to weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, etc.)Bending, kneeling, and squatting as needed and in tight spacesReaching overhead (setting up ramps)

Minimum Qualifications

Valid CDL A21+ years of ageAt least 2 years of driving experienceValid DOT medical cardMust pass a DOT-compliant pre-employment drug screeningMust not be in the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse Return-to-Duty (SAP) process

Compensation

$23 per hour for shuttle loads$0.57 - $0.61 cpm (depending on experience) for local loads
