at Aerotek in Spokane, Washington, United States Job Description Job Title: Driver - Warehouse and Local Delivery (Growth Path to Sales/Operations) Job Description This role starts as a combination of warehouse associate and local delivery driver, with a clear path to grow into sales or operations positions such as counter sales, purchasing, project management, quotations, or inside/outside sales. You will pull and load orders in the warehouse, drive a 22-foot flatbed truck or box van to deliver electrical products to customer sites, and provide friendly, reliable service while learning the business from the ground up. Responsibilities + Pull customer orders accurately in the warehouse and prepare them for delivery. + Load products safely and efficiently onto a 22-foot flatbed truck or 22-foot box van. + Deliver orders to job sites and customer shops on local routes and return home each night. + Assist customers with unloading materials at delivery locations as needed. + Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to move products. + Handle general labor tasks in the warehouse, including organizing, staging, and replenishing inventory. + Maintain a clean driving record and follow all traffic and safety regulations while driving. + Provide professional, courteous customer service during deliveries and at the warehouse. + Use basic math and reading comprehension skills to verify orders, quantities, and documentation. + Perform basic data entry and use computer systems to support order processing and inventory tracking. + Work closely with warehouse and sales staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. + Demonstrate motivation and interest in learning sales and operations functions for future advancement. Essential Skills + Clean driving record that meets insurability requirements. + Minimum age of 21 years to operate company vehicles under insurance guidelines. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and up to 30 lbs regularly, with frequent use of pallet jacks and forklifts to assist with heavier loads. + General labor experience, including loading and unloading trucks. + Customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers and coworkers. + Motivated, outgoing, and driven personality with a strong desire to socialize and build relationships. + Demonstrated desire for career growth and interest in learning new skills in sales and operations. + Basic math and reading comprehension skills to interpret orders and documentation accurately. + Comfort using computers and performing data entry tasks. + Ability to work in both warehouse and driving environments, depending on route requirements. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Forklift experience is preferred but not required; training may be provided. + Experience driving box trucks or similar vehicles is helpful but not required. + Prior warehouse inventory or material handling experience is an asset. + Sales experience or interest in sales roles such as counter sales or inside/outside sales is beneficial. + Education from a community college or university is preferred but not required. + Interest in long-term career development into roles such as purchasing, project management, or quotations. + Strong interpersonal skills and enjoyment of working with people in a fast-paced environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
