Company Overview We provide last-mile delivery services focused on safe, accurate, and timely package transportation. Independent contractors support daily delivery operations by completing assigned routes in accordance with service standards.
Position Purpose The Independent Contractor Delivery Driver completes package deliveries using a mobile delivery application to navigate routes, confirm deliveries, and report issues. Contractors operate independently while meeting required performance and safety expectations. This is an ongoing position.
Qualifications
-High school diploma or GED required Experience operating a motor vehicle required
-Delivery or courier experience preferred
-Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
-Strong problem-solving skills
-Must have own vehicle in great condition (cargo van or Sprinter van). Vehicle must be able to pass inspection.
Licensure & Requirements Valid State of -Michigan Drivers License required
-Chauffeurs License or CDL preferred, not required
-Acceptable driving record
-Must pass a background check Contractor is responsible for maintaining required insurance
Scope of Work & Responsibilities
-Safely operate a motor vehicle to complete assigned delivery routes
-Use a mobile delivery application for routing, navigation, delivery confirmation, and issue reporting
-Load, unload, and deliver packages weighing up to 60 lbs
-Complete deliveries accurately and within designated timeframes
-Follow all traffic laws and safety requirements
-Communicate delivery exceptions through approved channels
Working Conditions
-Prolonged periods of sitting while driving
-Frequent lifting, walking, bending, and carrying packages up to 60lbs
-Exposure to all weather conditions Physically demanding work
Independent Contractor Status This role is classified as an independent contractor position. Contractors are not employees and are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, equipment, and expenses unless otherwise stated in writing.
