Vacuum Truck Driver (CDL-A)

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating Vacuum trucks. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to all traffic regulations while ensuring timely delivery of freight to designated locations.

Limited housing is available for qualified out-of-town drivers on a first-come, first-served basis. Housing assistance is intended to support employees traveling from outside the local area.

Responsibilities:

- Operate and drive Vacuum trucks.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes traveled, and fuel consumption in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving on public roads.
- Utilize manual transmission when required for specific truck types.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the assigned vehicle.

Qualifications:

- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with Vacuum Trucks.
- Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a safe manner.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with dispatchers and clients.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
