Andersen Dairy is looking for a milk driver,
For $30.00 per hour must have a minimum 1 year of recent work history backing in 53' trailers.
New Driver's that have just earned their Class A:
$26 to start, backing in trailers in our yard (length of time doing this is based on driver performance and comfortability, we don't like to speed up the process for safety reasons)
$27 once training on the road with a veteran driver
$28 once driving alone for 6 months
$29 at one year
$30 at two years (this can be earned sooner based on driving record with us, driver score through Samsara and overall performance)
Shift: 4am-done, days off will be the same every week but not weekends. All driver's work 4 on and 3 off with the exception of over time needed to cover for vacations, especially in the summertime.
Job Summary:
Responsible for driving truck to transport milk to commercial establishments and delivering exceptional customer service. Operates tractor-trailer combinations for extended periods of time, over long distances between company and customer facilities, in a safe, timely and efficient manner.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties:
Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures and comply with all federal, state and local regulations for the secure and safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle (CMV)
Confirm manifests, bills of lading and other shipping documents to determine the correct product, location and time of delivery
Conduct regulatory pre-trip and post-trip inspections including oil, fuel, and water in truck daily
Hook up trailer safely and securely
Provide exceptional customer service to all customers
Ensure all paperwork has been completed accurately and completely
All DOT regulations and road safety
Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area
Check load docks and pick up pallets and carts remaining
Perform safety inspections when pulling in and out of docks
Physical Demands / Working Conditions:
Lifting 50lbs frequently
Push/Pull 880lbs on wheels, 35lbs of force
Must be reliable and available to work extra hours and/or overtime as needed and be available to flex hours.
Frequent pulling, pushing and carrying
Subject to walking, standing, stooping, bending and repetitive motions using hands
Company provides personal protection equipment (PPE))
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:
Must possess CDL-A
Customer service capabilities
Meet driver grading criteria to be approved by insurance
Requirements:
