CDL Class A Driver With Tanker Endorsement (Hazmat not req. may use)

The Driver is responsible for the safe transportation of very little hazardous waste and mostly non-hazardous waste, primarily from local and some regional locations, from the generator facility to the end disposal facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Safely operate all equipment, including but not limited to, box trailers, tank trailers, and roll-off trailers
Pick up and transport waste safely according to all federal, state and local regulations
Comply with all DOT regulations and company policies and procedures
Properly load, label, and secure all waste containers; and ensuring containers are in the appropriate condition for shipment
Complete all paperwork such as VIRs, logs, manifests, and work orders, in a timely, legible manner confirming accuracy
Maintain frequent communication with operations staff alerting them to site concerns, and potential delays
Provide excellent customer service
Ability to travel
Performs other, related duties as assigned. These are duties which may not be specifically listed in the class specification or position description, but which are within the general occupational series and responsibility level typically associated with the employees class of work.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to work sitting or standing for prolonged or continuous periods of time; frequently reaching with higher mobility from floor to waste level; use of hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to crouch, crawl, kneel, climb and balance; and will frequently use equipment such as drum carts and pallet jacks, to load waste containers onto trucks. Must understand and be able to implement safe and efficient freight handling and lifting procedures. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work is typically performed outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions. In the course of working with various levels of managers, supervisors, and employees, the individual may encounter aggressive or unpredicted behavior.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Assist in loading and unloading trailer
Complete all paperwork and forms as required by company policies and DOT regulations
Drive a CMV up to legal limits allowed (as regulated by DOT) and may require weekend work.
Responsible for the safe operation of the truck including pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Communicate professionally with customers and report any customer issues / complaints to appropriate internal contacts
Ensure truck cab and body are clean
Maintain compliance with all applicable company and governmental regulations
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to get in and out of the truck repeatedly throughout the workday
Valid Class A CDL with airbrakes endorsement
Two (2) years of experience within the past two (2) years in a CMV (Commercial Motor Vehicle) with a GVWR of over 26,001 pounds
Experience with hydraulic systems
Experience with a manual transmission
Must be 25 years of age or older (per DOT requirements)
Must be able to read and write English (per DOT requirements)
Successfully pass pre-employment background investigation, drug screen, motor vehicle records check, DOT physical and human performance examination
High school diploma or GED preferred
