CDL A Driver – Steel Fabrication Shop (Employee-Owned | Hourly + OT)

Location: Gahanna, OH
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Home Every Night, Predictable Daytime Schedule
Pay: Hourly (not mileage) + Overtime + Full Benefits

Suburban Steel Supply, is a 100% Employee-Owned (ESOP) steel fabrication shop serving construction, industrial, and commercial customers. Our drivers are key team members—and owners—who help us deliver quality steel safely and on time.

What You’ll Do

• Safely operate Class A vehicles to deliver fabricated steel and related materials (primarily flatbed).
• Touch freight: assist with loading/unloading and securement (chains, binders, straps); occasional forklift/crane use.
• Perform pre/post-trip inspections; complete delivery docs and ELD logs accurately.
• Coordinate with dispatch, shop leads, and customers for on-time, accurate deliveries.
• Follow all DOT/OSHA and company safety procedures.

What You Bring

• Valid CDL A and clean driving record.
• 2+ years CDL experience (flatbed/steel preferred).
• Strong knowledge of load securement; comfortable with yard equipment (training available).
• Safety-first mindset, reliability, and professional communication.
